SHL looking for Associate Application Software Engineer
Experience Needed: 0-4 Years
As an Application Support Engineer of our cloud-based platforms, you are the face of Technology for the organization and are responsible for diagnosing application issues, conducting root cause analysis, documenting resolutions, communicating issue and resolution details across a global organization, and helping ensure continuous application quality improvement, as a part of our global application support team.
Provide Cloud Application Support for SHL Assessment Platform applications, with specific responsibility for the APAC region.
Document bugs, improvements, enhancements within an Agile software development methodology.
Support application deployments across multiple cloud-based applications.
Provide resolutions by facilitating quick resolutions and by proactively identifying and solving problems with existing systems or processes.
Act as a liaison between the Technology group and stakeholders across the organization.
Collaborate with Development, QA, Commercial, Client-Support, and leadership teams to support, automate, and streamline processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
Strong communication skills are a must.
0-4 years of Experience in application support, including Operations, Release Management, IT, and Development.
Experience with relational databases like MSSQL.
Ability to handle multiple work streams and tasks simultaneously.
Must be familiar with browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools/Firebug.
Good to Have Skills:
Good to have: Experience with Jira issue management, Jira Service Desk, and Agile methodology
Good to have: Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Datadog
Good to have: Experience communicating at all levels of a global organization
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple work streams, issues, and requests simultaneously.
