Technical Support Engineer
You should be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. You would be directly interacting with our customers.
Role and responsibilities
Working on assigned cases
Should be able to attend service desk calls from customers and update them
Prioritize across multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
Learn new technologies outside his/her primary skills.
Develop solutions to challenging problems.
Effectively communicate with team members, project managers and clients, as required.
Technical skills requirements
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in,
Exposure in Customer Support / Product Support and knowledge of many different IT subject areas, such as Server OS, Windows and Linux/UNIX basics, network, database, Cloud computing and Cyber security
Troubleshooting Application issues installed on Windows/Linux
Possess excellent Log reading skills
Familiar with Server management, Cyber security
Basic knowledge in SQL/RDBMS DB knowledge (Oracle/MS SQL/My SQL)
Diagnose network related issues and share it with customer for their action
Understanding and experience with Cloud technology like Azure and AWS
Basic understanding of Cyber security Domain (CIA, File integrity Mgmt., Security Configuration Mgmt.)
Past experience on Tripwire Enterprise product would be added advantage
Past experience in deploying Hot Fix / Service Pack in Production Environment
Experience with deploying and maintaining Java web applications like Apache Tomcat, Java EE, etc.
Demonstrate new releases and functionalities in LAB to the customer
Perform monthly/quarterly customer connects to present support data and future plans
Experience in Technical Support role with ability to get feedback, CSATs from the customer
Minimum 3 years of education
B.Tech, Bsc/BCA degree from a reputed university
