The Beckman Coulter DxONE Insights is the analytics platform hosted in cloud which helps customers to run the labs efficiently. The incumbent designs, develops, and executes test cases and procedures; implements innovative and effective test designs and ensures appropriate test coverage; and, participates in finding opportunities for test automation and develops automated test suites.
Description for Intern
The Beckman Coulter DxONE Insights is the analytics platform hosted in cloud which helps customers to run the labs efficiently. The incumbent designs, develops, and executes test cases and procedures; implements innovative and effective test designs and ensures appropriate test coverage; and, participates in finding opportunities for test automation and develops automated test suites.
Skills required for Intern
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Information Science/Technology or a related field.
Strong in SQL/NoSQL/S3 and database design
Good understanding in building Spring/Java based enterprise software framework ecosystem
Good understanding in in front end technologies, preferably React.js
Have good understanding of REST API/JSON
Skilled with computer science fundamentals, Data Structures, algorithms, Object Oriented Concepts and Design Patterns.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
A strong awareness in software security
Keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the “big picture” and prioritize
Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed and organized
Ability to work in a fast paced development environment
Experience in understanding large and complex code cases, including API design techniques to help them clean and maintainable.
CI/CD build pipeline with Jenkins and other tools.
Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel as needed (minimal).
Social skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and customers.
Good to have:
Experience working on cloud applications
Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (FDA/ISO13485) and experience in medical device verification is a plus
Understanding of Hive on Spark engine & internals of HBase is good to have.
Healthcare Informatics background
